Creating Die Cuts For Bella Creations kits

My good friend Lacee...who created Bella Creations is getting ready to release her First Scrapbooking Kit in June, and asked if I would make some diecuts to go with the kit.  So....here is the first pile of diecuts.
So come and join in the fun at Bellas!
I also did some small white butterflies..but forgot to take a photo...lol.
Thanks for visiting!
Have a great day!

Swirlydoos Sketch Challenge

Here is the fabulous sketch from Swirlydoos for the month of April.
Look at that....4 spots for photos...LOL.  The photos are what I have the problem with.  I really need to learn how to take better photos!  I ended up flipping it vertically.
The papers are from the Gabrielle Bo Bunny Collection.
The photos are of my Mother and Mother in Law last Mother's day.
The small round photos are of the cake I made.
I ended up painting the letter stickers that came in the kit, so they would fit well with my Dusty Attic pieces that I altered.
Here you can see some of the details of the dusty attic and the stamping I did on my bg.
The flower stamp is one I drew out and hand carved.  Here is a close up of the upper right.
I remember that I had used my 40% off coupon at JoAnns to purchase a cake decorating kit.  I decided I was going to create a Mother's Day Cake covered with Roses.  Considering I had never decorated a cake, or made roses ...it looked pretty fabulous!  Everything except the color...lol.  I only had  few food coloring pastes..and they were pink and green.  Kind of bright.  The cake looks much better in Sepia tones...but here it is all nice and bright...lol.  Maybe the colors...will BRIGHTON your day.
I will say one thing...it did taste great!
Hugs!

365 Cards Sketch Day 49

Here is my last card....it is based on Pam's Fabulous Sketch at
I again used papers from some Past Swirlydoos Kits.  I have been on a role!  Here is my take.
I inked all my edges with Chipped Sapphire, and distressed the plum color stripe with my Distrez tool.  The butterfly is from
I strung together some matching beads, to make a cute butterfly ornie.
Now that I see the photo...I think I will add some more stamping..lol.  That is one of my favorite stamps I made!
Oops...I couldn't stand it...I had to add a little more...so here you go.
I forgot about that fabulous Smooch!  I also added some liquid pearls in Bisque to the outside of my sentiment oval.
Much Better....I tend to like "Busy"...and I love to Doodle!
Thanks for Visiting!

Gift Card Holder

I used some of papers from my past Swirlydoos kits.  To see some of their paper kits just hit my Swirly Savage Button in the left side bar.
This is for the Fancy Folds Week at 365 Cards Challenge Blog.
The challenges there this past week have been Fabulous!  I have created many New Types of Cards!  Nothing better than learning something new!
I distressed all the pieces of this gift card holder with my Distrez all tool.  All edges were inked with Fired Brick by Ranger.  I used some scallop scissors to create the center "For You" piece.  I have been working with my scraps...trying to use all my paper  :-)
I used Liquid Pearls in Bisque to add some bling to my card...and as soon as it is dry...I will get some photos of the inside.
The Cute Red bird is of course an image from
Here is the original image.
I just love it!  I used my Silhouette SD's print and cut feature to cut out this bird.  It makes a great little die cut for my projects!
Here is the inside of the gift card holder.
See that pretty rose in the upper right?  I painted that rose :-)
in GIMP.  My first time painting with a computer program.  Not as messy as my paints...lol.  The gift card slides right behind the blue punched piece.
Thanks for the visit!

Micupoftea Easel Card

I have another card.  This one is for a couple challenges.  I was inspired to create this card by my friend Shawn AKA Micupoftea.
Her Challenge over at Bella's is to use an umbrella in your project.
I figured I would combine the challenge by using some
Fancy Fold Easel Card at 365 Cards.  I put all three challenges together and this is what I came up with.
First off, I have known since the beginning of April about Shawn's Challenge, so I have spent some time altering images from
The flip side of this Glamorous teacup.
I did a lot of altering on this one.  I used used the image I created of the teacup with the umbrella, and stuck it in this sweet ladies hand (liked it better than the one she was holding).
I added a lot more color to the umbrella, so it would go with my teacup  :-)

 Used this...with a little tweaking.
The program I used to make all my changes is Gimp!
It is a fun FREE program.  Just download.
Here are the pieces I created using the Print and cut feature of my Silhouette SD.
Here is the front of my card, it is still wet, so I will have to wait to decorate the inside.
Shawn just loves the details...so...here are some.  I inked the edges of the center piece with Vintage photo.  The other pieces were all inked with Dew Drops Brilliance in Pearlescent Crimson.  I also used my favorite background stamp to stamp on the purple and blue pps too.  I then use Smooch Pearlized accent ink from my Swirlydoos kit (a purple color) to doodle some design around the edges of my card.  It really added to the card!  I used Liquid pearls in Bisque to add some depth.
The saying on the card front reads..."Inking and Stamping are Relaxing to me."
The inside image is the lady holding her cup of tea...and it says.
"I'll take a Fancy Umbrella with"
When I found out the challenge was an umbrella I knew immediately thought of those cute little umbrellas they put in fancy drinks.  I thought...Fancy umbrella....Fancy teacup.  Perfect for Shawn.
Here is the inside of the card.
I used the same inks, and smooch here as mentioned above.  I did use pop dots under the bottom piece so that it was raised.  Here is a close up of the words.
So ...when you read it all...the card says:  "Inking and Stamping are Relaxing to me....I'll take a Fancy Umbrella with Micupoftea."  Get it...Shawn's user id...sometimes I just impress myself...little things like this...just make me SMILE :-)
Thanks for visiting!
You will love it!

Swirly Sisters Easter Card

I had enough time to finish one more card for this week's challenges at
365 Cards.  This challenge was to create an Accordion or Stair step card.  I figure I was on a roll with my Swirlydoos Kit that I would make an Easter card for My Swirly Sister Savages!
Here is my Easter Card for the Swirly Girls!   I entered it into one of longtime Peeps Challenge over at abc DT Challenge (my friend Heidi is on the DT there).  I love to play at Paper Sundaes challenge blog when I get a chance.  This week is texture.  So I have lots of trim and bling to add texture..yum!
I just love it!  I used my papers that I spoke about in my last two posts.  So please check them out if you would like to see the papers before they were cut up!
Here is a close up of the back layer.  I inked the edges of the blue egg with Tumbled Glass by Ranger.  I added some Perfect Pearls in Perfect Copper using my favorite background stamp I carved.  I added some SWIRLY BLING to my egg!  Of course a Butterfly..because Swirly girls love butterflies!  Every month, Angelica has a Butterfly Challenge.
Here is the middle layer.  I used my favorite bluebird image (blue bird of friendship...I call it) from the Graphics Fairy.  I inked the bird, and egg with vintage photo.  Added some fun fancy velvet trim (of course from my kit) and some petaloo flowers.  I was looking at my egg pieces and thought of those Faberge Eggs...and thought...hmm...you know if there was a "Faberge" of the scrapbook world...the most Exquisite pages would be made by Swirlygirls!  I also saw lots of inspiration from the DT over at Simply Create for their Egg Challenge.  Of course...all my peeps have some Swirly goodness in them.
Here is the front layer.  I used a Dusty Attic piece...because who doesn't love Dusty Attic Chippies!
One last close up of my card.
The card simply says.." May your Easter Basket be filled with Swirly Treasure!"  In Swirlyville..you just can't get better than that!
Thanks for visiting...and letting me brag a little on my Swirly Sisters!
Hugs!

Another Mother's Day Card

I have been on a role today!  This is another card that I had worked out in my head this week based on the 365 Cards Challenge "Fancy Folds Pop-Up."  This week their challenges have been just awesome!  I have been doing a lot of creating of "Firsts."  So make sure you check out my earlier cards this week, my first double step card (Mother's Day) and my first funky fold triangle card.  They were a lot of fun!  I used papers from this months Swirlydoos kit.
Here is my card!
Here you can see some Petaloo flowers and Prima flowers.  I used some Prima trim...all from my Swirlydoos kits.  Love the Bo Bunny Cameo!  I used a perfect medium pen and doodled on some leaves, and then brushed them with Perfect Pearls in Copper by Ranger.  Those fabulous little raised dots were created using Ranger's liquid pearls in Bisque.
I used these papers from my kit
The inside paper I used from a past kit
For the inside I used this sweet image from the Graphics Fairy.  All I did to this image was remove the White border.
Here are some close ups.
I really did a lot of distressing with my distrez tool on that little piece around the cameo!  I also used it on the base and insert of the card.  The blue pp was inked with tumbled glass and then vintage photo (both by Ranger).  The other pp I inked with Vintage photo only.
Here is a photo of this card in the making.  So you can see that it will be a "pop up" card.
I used my Silhouette SD to create a pattern, and then had it cut out this shape for me.  Notice the little fold in the middle.  That is what my Graphic fairy image will be attached to..so it will be down when the card is folded, and pop up when the card is opened.
Here is the inside.
I just love the distressing on this card!  I put some lace across the bottom of the sweet image, and a Petaloo flower, so it looks like it is  "one" with the paper...lol.  The font I used is the same as the first Mother's Day card, and did use my Silhouette Sd studio program to print and cut out these elements!
A side view.
One last view of the front!
Thank you so much for visiting!
Hugs!

Mother's Day Card

I finally had some time to finish a Mother's Day card.  I did a "Double Stair Step" card inspired by the 365 Cards Challenge.  I had never done a stair step card, and let me tell you...it is FUN!  I was also inspired by the Paper Sundaes Challenge #65 Texture.  I included some lace, dimension with liquid pearls.  I created the bird, lace and doily to add to my card for the Shabby tea room Challenge.  The papers I used came from this month's Swirlydoos Kit.  I also have this linked up to Flutterbywednesdays challenge.
I had to make up my own measurements, so that I could fit the center piece which was from this sheet of the Gabrielle Line by Bo Bunny in my Swirldoos Kit.
I used the left center piece for the center of my card.  The base of the card was made with this paper.
The butterfly on the left of my card came from this paper.  It is the pinkish one at the top.
I used a punch by Ek Sucess to punch some pieces of trim  from this sheet of paper.
I found my lovely vintage bird image from the Graphics Fairy.
Here is the original image.
Here are some close ups of the card.
I inked all the edges with Ranger's Vintage Photo.  I distressed the edges of the main body of the card with my Distrez it all tool.  The flowers were punched out of the light colored paper and painted with Delta acrylics in:  Forest green, coral and spice brown.
I used the font called "Barouque Antique Script."  I used my Silhouette Studio program to print and cut the bird, doily and words "love you and Mother."  These also were inked with Ranger's vintage photo.
Here you can see part of the Dusty Attic piece I altered by painting and applying UTEE to just the rosebuds.  I wanted the piece to look like shabby rosebuds in a basket.  You can also see the fabulous Vintage blue bird frame I created with the images from the Graphics fairy.  I used Liquid pearls in bisque to add a little embellishement to the circle frame, edges of paper, lace and Dusty Attic.
I was so excited about this card...I couldn't even wait for the glue to dry!  You can see it behind the lace.  I was going to use some larger beads from my Swirydoos kit, but I could not get them to stay one.  The fab Butterfly trinket is from Bo Bunny and was part of my kit too. I also used some bling from this months kit for the flower centers.
Here is a close up of the DA piece that I painted.  That fabulous doily like butterfly my good friend Carol from Bellas Creations made for me!  Check out her blog at the link...to see her beautiful butterflies and flowers she creates!  Fabulous!  It is her Birthday this week too...so wish her a Happy Birthday!
One last photo of the finished piece.
Thank you so much for visiting!
