Fancy Folds Shabby Chic Hot Air Balloon Card

Happy Tuesday Friends!!
I had a very productive day playing at my Best Friend Ginny's scrapbook store.
Today I have a Special "Fancy Folds" Card that I created for the Sugar Creek Hollow Challenge.
I also am playing along this week at The Shabby Tea Room, and
Fashionable Stamping Challenge which both require "embossing"
(you will see my stamping and embossing on the inside of my card a   little later.  I used the Vintage Stained Seam Binding that I purchased from Debbie at the Shabby Tea Room.  I just LOVE it!
I have used a recent Graphic Fairy image, which I altered just a little.  Used my "Crop A Dile" and grommets on each flap so I could tie it closed (my things are chunky..lol)
The background Paper is from the Gecko Galz "Secret Garden" Pack.  The Sparkly Crystal Pink Flowers, Champagne pearls, Ivory Pearl Sprays and Ivory Mulberry Roses came from
Here is a photo of the card opened up.
The pink roses are ones I painted in GIMP.  I found a rose coloring page, and just used GIMP to color.  I used Inkscape to make a cutline for the balloon, and all the images, I then welded them all together to create this template.  The bottom part folds up to hold the tag in place.

Since I am all about "shabby chic", I am sharing this with the "Stamp Man Challenge" and
"Charimsa Cardz Challenge"  The stamps are ones I drew and carved myself.  I used Rangers Peeled Paint distress ink.
This week at Simon Says Stamp and Show, we are to use words!  My words are (front)  "Life is an Adventure"  (inside) "With you in it!"  I created the little banner shapes in Inkscape too.  I then used my
Black Cat Cougar (I call her Kitty Kitty) to cut out all my pieces.
I just love the flatback pearls and my sparkly pink crystal flower from Pro 31 Designs!  I have two of these, some liquid pearls by Ranger in Peacock and Perfect Pearls in Perfect Gold  to add some sparkle to my card.  So I am sharing it with
Tuesday Throwdown week 95.  Last week I won TOP 3 there and "Honorable mention cup of tea" from the tea room for my
The Gorgeous Tag image is from the "Tickets Please" set from
Gecko Galz.  Leanne is the BEST, she gives such wonderful items for me to play with.  I have been on her DT for almost a year now and I LOVE it!  She gives out lots of FREE ephemera, so check out her blog and join our group (upper left side bar badge will take you to the group).  Free goodies on the GECKO GALZ blog too.  You never know when she will post some freebies, so sign up for the newsletter, and you won't miss them.
You know, I like the back of my items to look as good or better than the fronts :0).  Here is another ticket, which I again have embossed and used Ranger's Old paper distress ink on.
You also get a good look at the Gecko Galz digital paper I used, and my favorite leaf and flower stamps I made.
Yummy Flowers, flat back pearls and Buttons!  Here is a photo of the card with the tag removed.  I just love making shaped cards.
How about a look at the tag, which of course is an ornament.  I am all about getting use out of my cards for others, so I like to add a tag that doubles as an ornament
 (remember I put up 7-9 Christmas trees..lol)
I just love it!  That image is so cute!  I like to think it is my two boys off on an adventure.  Hence the "Life is an adventure with you in it"...LOL.
Here is the back..not as fancy..but I think I will add to it.
Yeppers..forgot to add the perfect pearls to the flag...LOL.
You can see where I added the little roses I painted to it.
One last look at my card open.
Thank you for putting up with my extremely long post!
I will be sharing for inspiration at Make it Monday next week.

Here you can see it on Youtube :0)

Thank you for visiting!!
Hugs!!

Tabbed Folders Mini Album

Hello Friends!!
In case you had not noticed, I have not been around for a while.  Four different Birthday celebrations, tied in with Palm Sunday and Easter and worrying about some health issues, kept me from doing much.
I am happy to say, all health issues are no longer needing to be worried about, and we only have one more birthday to participate in this weekend.
I would like to share with you the simple mini album that I have created, using Gecko Galz, & Graphic fairy images and embellishments from
Pro 31 Designs Etsy Store.
Here is the digital collage I created.

I created the background papers in GIMP, and the Tabbed folder template in Inkscape.  I then used my Black Cat Cougar to cut them out.
The beautiful lady images are from the Flower maids Collection and the tags from the "Tickets please Collection" both from Gecko Galz.
The green frame and pink roses found in the lower right are images from the Graphic Fairy.  The Butterfly in the upper left is a Gecko Galz image.
I used the "Newsprint" filter for all my images.  It was so fun, and added a bit of texture to my papers.
I used a Tim Holtz Butterfly die and a flower punch on my project so that I could enter it in the challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow this week.  The butterfly and punched flowers are all from some recycled scraps that I had left over from another project.  I also recycled a file folder for my tags, and the polka dot paper on the back of them is also some scraps from another project.  "Recycled is the requirement at Tuesday Throwdown challenge this week.  At the Shabby Tea Room this week they ask that you use the inspiration photo as well as Aqua, Pink and neutrals.  I am playing for the first time at the "Stamp Man Challenge" I used one of my shabby roses stamps on my tag, and this week is "Shabby Chic" which is right up my ally.  The
All the ivory mulberry roes, pink curly roses, ivory ribbon trim and pink flatback pearls, Ivory and cream ribbon roses and pearl sprays are from Pro 31 Designs.  In the photo above you can see the punched flowers, and a bluebird die cut I created from a Graphic Fairy image.
Lucky for me this week at Simon Says Stamp and Show, it is anything goes, same goes for the month long  ABC Design Team Challenge.
At this angle you can see the tabs better :0).
I used a perfect medium pen and perfect pearls in perfect copper by Ranger to add some accents to my pages.  The Lovely Vintage seam binding came from Debbie at the Shabby Tea Room.  I just love it, and this is my first project I have used them on.  Here are the tags.
These are the gorgeous "Tickets Please" from Gecko Galz, I simply used Gimp to make them bigger, to use as Tags!  I inked all the edges of my diecuts and pages with Ranger's Old paper distress ink.  Here I used my favorite Flatback pearls in champagne from Pro 31 Designs.  I used my "crop-o-dile" to punch wholes in the tags and set the antique brass grommets.  I used my Cinch and some binding from Bind it all to create my mini.
This is scrap paper left over from a previous project that I created in GIMP.  I created the darling little pink "live," "love," and "laugh" die cuts.  The green leaves are from my favorite May Arts Leaf trim.  The roses are from Pro 31 Designs. The stamp I carved and applied with Ranger's Peeled paint.  Love how it looks on the aqua blue and white paper.  Here is a close up of the flowers below.
They are just beautiful!  So easy to use!
One last look of the cover.

I will be sharing these with Pink Saturday and Make it Monday for inspiration.
Thank you for Visiting!
Hugs!!
