New Collage Sheets Shabby Vintage Chic

Hello Friends!!
Happy news...I am off work this weekend!!
I thought I would start off my day with creating with some of the new collage sheets I have in my Etsy.

I created the background paper myself, and found the little girl image from the Graphic Fairy.
Here are the tags that I created using the collage sheet. The fabby pink vintage seam binding is from
Really Reasonable Ribbon, and the flowers and embellishments are from Pro 31 Designs
Anyone who purchases my Collage sheets will receive a code for 25% off their next Pro 31 Designs Order.
Here is a video of how I assembled the tags.
I will be playing along with Creative Inspirations: Bingo (I chose pink, flowers and polkadots (background paper)).

Here is another collage sheet I created using a Cupcake image that I painted in GIMP.  I used the same background paper that I created for the tags above.
I thought I would play along with the Our Creative Corner Challenge (recycle and pop of green) so I Recycled a chocolate cheerios box to give my picture holder below some weight.  I also thought I would play along with this weeks challenge at City Crafter (bake sale).  I simply printed out my CUPCAKE collage sheet, cut out the tags, and glued them to the box.  Then I glued pink cardstock to the other side and trimmed the edges.  Inked all my edges with Ranger's Vintage Photo distress inks.  Finished it off with some more fabulous green vintage seam binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and embellishments from Pro 31 Designs.
The cupcake image is one I painted myself,  the tiny white flowers, leaves and cake stand are all parts of other graphic fairy images that altered.
I will be linking up to

Happy Saturday Friends!!
It is week 26 Fairies and Angels at Sugar Creek Hollow.
We have a wonderful sponsor:  A Day for Daisies who will be sharing a $12 gift certificate to the winner of this weeks Challenge!!
So find a Fairy or Angel and use it in a Vintage or Shabby chic style and link up!!
I can't wait to see what you come up with!
First I want to thank Tammy for letting each of the DT members pick out an image they would like to use for their projects this week.  I chose Angel Waiting, and I chose to color her in GIMP (as if you didn't know that was coming..lol).  I decided to go shabby with a sprinkle of vintage looking card.
I used some different paint brushes to create the polka dot grass, and checked sky.  I painted in some clouds, and kept the flowers pink and simple.  I distressed my edges and inked everything with Ranger's Vintage Photo distress ink.  I used only one of my favorite Champagne flatback pearls from Pro 31 Designs.  It is the center of the clear acrylic flower in the upper left.  I did use some ivory beaded trim, ivory leaf trim, golden yellow rosette trim and blingy bling mesh in brown.  The pink seam binding is from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and the tiny pink roses are from my stash.
I colored the hair in a golden color and added some lighter highlights, I used the same color on the wings.  I do have some brown text on the wings, it is just hard to see in the photo.

I used one of my favorite Martha Stewart punches which you can see above tucked in under my Angel image.
I hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!
Don't forget to joining this week at
Thank you for visiting!!

Shabby Pink and Aqua with Roses Collage sheet

Happy Wednesday Friends!!
So lately my BFF Ginny and I have had the opportunity to spend a little more time together :0)
That is always fun!!!
She has been doing her best to spark a little fire in me, to get me to add things to my Etsy shop.  Monday I came home, and felt motivated!  I created this fun collage sheet below.
I created this collage sheet using images from Karen the Graphics Fairy.  Yay!!, I have it in my Etsy shop!

Here are two examples of cards that you can create using my digital collage sheet.
I used value card stock in ivory for my card base.  It measures 5 by 7 inches, so when folded in half it measures 5 by 3 1/2 inches.  This will give you a 1/4 inch boarder left when you apply my digital base paper.
I have added some basic sentiments "Thank you" and "Happy Birthday."  They are both very "Heathery" if I do say so myself...lol.
I used all the pink on this one.  Distressed my edges, and inked with Ranger's Vintage photo.  used pop dots to elevate the piece to tuck the Pro 31 Designs beaded trim under.  I also used two of my favorite champagne flatback pearls, May arts leaf trim and Ivory mulberry roses on this one.  I used the same embellishments, just more of them on the card below.  I did add some tiny pink roses from my stash.
I love how vintagey...and shabby chic these turned out!  I even did a video, showing how I created the pink card.  You can see it below.
My fabby little pink bow is made from seam binding from
Really Reasonable ribbon.

Please go and visit my Bff Ginny's so you can see the fabulous flower (it is fabby)...and card she made using one of my background images.

I will be playing along with

Here is a look at what I created!!
It is my take on a "Smash Book."  I used images from Gecko Galz and the Graphic Fairy and embellishments from Pro 31 Designs!  Thank you to my BFF Ginny for the clothes pin and idea.  We sat in her store Thursday afternoon, she designing with paper and me designing on my laptop.  It was super fun.  We even stuck to our Healthy eating :0)
Here is a list of the embellishments from Pro 31 Designs I used on the cover.
Brown Blingy Bling Mesh, My favorite Champagne Flatback pearls, Black drop pearl beaded trim, ivory mulberry roses, & ivory felt leaf trim,
I used GIMP (image manipulating program) to alter the images from Gecko Galz.  Leanne gives me the best images to play with!!
I just love the books...and my favorite Champagne flatback pearls!!
I used Inkscape (a vector / line program) to create cut lines for all of my images, so when I figure out where I put the new blade that Sherri (Black Cat Cougar Digital cutters), sent me, I can cut out another one of these :0)  All of you who know me, know I love my Kitty Kitty Digital cutter!!
I designed the Ruler paper by taking a ruler image, getting rid of the white background and adding in colors that I liked.  Then I stacked a bunch together to form the paper.  You can see how to do this yourself by watching my GIMP tutorials on you tube.
My Regular visitors know that I love to create "Shaped pages" so I designed my pages so that the apple peaks out on the first page, pencil would peak out on this page, the next has a vintage report card, and finally a ruler pocket.  These little treasures are on pop dots (paper still on, so not all sticky yet), so you can slide in a note or photo, then stick the die cuts down.
I flipped my outline o my page, but not the image, so that my letters would not be backwards :0)
Created a ruler pocket and apple with chalkboard tag.  You can see and hear more information in the video below.  Sorry the sound is a little weird, my son was using my headphones :0)

Here are some more still photos
Gecko Galz digi stamps....etc....
Another lunch back to hold some goodies!!
ruler pocket with tag
More Gecko Galz images and Digi Stamps!  The apple I use through out the project is from Graphic Fairy
The clothes pin that I altered for the Design Team Challenge at PRO 31 Designs.
and the extra pieces below...so you can "Make it your own" if you are the winner!!
Thank you for putting up with my LONG post....LOL
Here are two thank you cards that I made using a Digital Collage Sheet that I created.

You can find the sheet below in my Etsy Shop.

The apple image and image on the chalk board are from Karen the Graphic's Fairy.
You can watch my Tutorial on how to create the cards from my Collage Sheet.

Sugar Creek Hollow Week 23 Vintage Travel

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!!
This week at Sugar Creek Hollow it is all about Vintage Travel, so find some vintage bikes, balloons, boats or cars etc, create something in the vintage or shabby chic style and link up with us for a chance to win.   I had a fun time this week creating a "Halloween Vintage Hot Air Balloon" collage.  I used it to create a "Hot Air  Balloon Ticket" to Halloweenville.
Here is the collage I created using some images I found online.

I added three skeletons to the Halloween Hot Air Balloon Basket,  Used a Score sheet from Gecko Galz for my background.  I added some eyes to the pumpkin balloon.  Here is my Card with ticket below!!  I decided to add some black behind my collage for this piece.
It was hard for me to not cover the whole card with embellishments, but since I did a lot of digital work, I wanted it to be seen :0).  I used some brown blingy bling mesh, ivory leaves, black pearl drop trim and orange mulberry roses from Pro 31 Designs!  The Green and Orange seam binding are from Really Reasonable ribbon.
Close up of the pumpkin on black.
Here are some more close ups.  Love how the orange mulberry roses look with the ivory leaves and black pearl drops!!

I used Rnager's Distress ink in Vintage photo on the edges of my pieces.  I used pop dots to elevate the black pumpkin hot air balloon piece so that I could slide the ticket in behind it.
Here is a picture of the ticket.  I started out with a vintage ticket, that I added some more text to in Inkscape.
I also added the hot air balloon in the corners.  I inked the edges of this with Vintage Photo by Ranger as well.
Make sure you visit the rest of the Design Teams blogs to see their creations!!  Then come by Sugar Creek Hollow and Link up!!
Hope you have a fabulous week!!
Thank you for visiting!!
Hugs!!

Sugar Creek Hollow Week 22: Something Old & Something New

Happy Saturday Friends!!
This week at Sugar Creek Hollow we would like to see you use something Old (something you forgot about it in your stash) with something New.  I know that won't be hard for anyone that I know....LOL.  Once you have found your something old and something new, create something in the Vintage or Shabby Chic style and come link up with us at Sugar Creek Hollow.
This worked out wonderfully for me, because I was really wanting to create a journal with a calendar for myself this week...LOL.  I have a pile of notebooks I bought back in 2010 when I first got into scrapbooking.  I just happen to run across them the other day!  Plus my BOLB (best online buddy) Carol just did one not to long ago.  Here is my new Journal/Daily planner/ what ever I need to jot down book...lol.

"Important Dates in my Extraordinary Life"
My NEW items are two images from the new August Digital Ephemera set Edwardian Beauties from Gecko Galz.  The Frame is from the Frames Collection digital collage sheet from Gecko Galz..
You will see that I used these same images to create new "Winner badges for Gecko Galz" in my upper right blog column.
I used GIMP, Inkscape, Sign cut and my Black Cat Cougar and the "print and cut feature" to print and cut out all of my die cuts!  I distressed all my edges with a craft knife, then used Ranger's Vintage Photo distress ink.  I found some pink fabric rosette trim that I had forgot about and added two of the rosettes to my piece.    The tiny pink roses are also from my stash.I have used my favorite champagne flatback pearls, brown blingy bling mesh, small ivory mulberry roses, ivory pearl sprays, ivory drop pearl trim, ivory leaf trim and gorgeous pink cameo from Pro 31 Designs!
The seam binding came from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used it to create a bow on both sides.  One to hold my pen (which I used my perfect medium pen here as an example), the other will tie my journal shut when not in use :0).  I am working on a calendar (sheet for each month) to slip in behind the frame.  I am very please with how it turned out!!

As always (at least the last month) I will be sharing with

I will even join some other challenges this week

Reasonable ribbon:  Bling and Ribbon

I can't wait to see what you create for our challenge this week at

Thank you for visiting!!
