Hugs and Pooches Valentines Day Card

Hello Friends!!
Happy Friday!!
Today I would like to share with you a Special Valentine I made for my
Bestest Friend Ginny.
She loves.....PUGS!!  So I thought I would design a special "Pugs and Smootches" Valentine's Day card for her.
You will notice that I used LOTS of fabulous ribbons from the
January Ribbon Assortment from
Really Reasonable Ribbon!!
Here is a close up of my ribbon cluster in the upper left of my card.
You will also see that I used some mulberry roses and a vintage button from my stash, as well as the peppermint baker's twine,  burgundy leaves red pom pom trim as well as Candi Foam pads to elevate all my layers...also from
Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I started out designing the back ground music paper, a bingo card from this months "Heart's Galore" ephemera from GECKO GALZ(I used gimp to create the heart shape), text boxes and cleaned up both the pug and roses images...then combined them using GIMP.  I also used GIMP to pull colors from the roses to create the music background paper.
I cut out all my pieces, including the ribbons...and inked them with Ranger's Vintage Photo distress inks!
I did use some pink crochet laceJuliet lace, and the red shimmer ribbon, also from RRR at the bottom of the card.
I hope she loves it :0)
If you have a friend that loves pugs too...you can get the collage sheet I designed here.
Thank you for Visiting!!
Hugs!!

Valentine's Day Tag

Hello Friends!!
Happy Tuesday!!
It is time for a new Challenge at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Valentine's Day
Today I would like to share with you a Valentine's Day Tag I created using Embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and Ephemera from Gecko Galz.
I used the bits and pieces Ephemera and the Heart and Soul digital stamps from Gecko Galz to create the background and main image of my tag.
I used the May arts leaves in pink, candi fix it foam pads (to elevate my text boxes), Juliet lace, and celery lace from Really Reasonable ribbon.

Here is a look at the back, I used the pink crochet lace across the top, then topped it with a lovely silk bow, also from RRR.  You will notice that I used the same little bird digi collage image that I used for the front, just made it smaller.  I used a different Gecko Galz digital stamp for the back.
Here is a close up of the lace and bow, as well as the tie at the top of my tag.
I can't wait to see what you link up to our challenge over at RRR!!

****Gecko Galz Give Away Update****
I also need to announce the winner of my Gecko Galz Give Away!
I had three fabulous entries....and the Random Drawing winner was
Wendy!

each get to choose 5 collage sheets from my Etsy Shop.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop

RRRBlogHop[1].jpg

Hello Friends!!
I am so excited to be participating in my 3nd
Hopefully you are visiting me from Cherry's Blog.
If you are just joining the blog hop, then you will want to start at the
Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.
That way you can see what you can win!!
Through out the hop you are going to see some fabulous creations using this month's
Here is a photo of it below!!
Monthly Ribbon Club, Domestic
What a LOVELY assortment for Valentine's Day projects!!
I thought I would make a couple tags, and a little holder for them.  The plan will be to write some mushy love notes on the back of each one....LOL.
I am happy with how my little creation turned out!
You will see I used the pink chevron grossgrain, sweetheart multi dotsCheckerboard Red satin, Random Hearts Red
Melina White Crochet trim, Sweetheart Cherries, white satin ribbons from this month's assortment.  I started out with a notebook bitty bag.  I folded it up upon itself, to create a pocket in the front, and the back pocket is created by opening up the bag :0).  I then trimmed the edges with red pom pom trim.
I have also used some other goodies from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  A Notebook Bitty BagMay Arts pink leaves, white satin double ruffle ribbon, Juliet lace, and Ivory Jute ribbon.  I also used some champagne pearls, vintage buttons and mulberry roses from my stash.
I also used a set of Valentine Tags that I designed this month exclusively for Gecko Galz, you can purchase them here.
Here are some photos of the tags.  I tried to keep the embellishments simple.
I did use some Candi Foam pads, pink curling trim, peppermint baker's twine, red leaves and seam binding also from
Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I cut out all my tags, and sentiments.  Inked the edges with Ranger's Vintage Photo distress inks.  Used my glue gun and candi fix it foam pads to attach my embellishments.
Here are a couple fun shots.  I thought it would be easy and cute to create a heart like shape out of the ribbons, and tuck them under some of my sentiments.
Here are some other shots...
I just love this month's ribbon assortment, and I hope that I have inspired you to create some fabulous projects!

**Next stop on the Hop**
Time to hop on over to Jeanne's blog,
see what she has created, and leave her a little love.

Thank you for visiting!
