Keep it Simple: 365 Cards day 278

On the way home from work...I was thinking about today's challenge
over at 365 Cards.
Pam's Challenge was to "Keep it Simple"
I feel pretty good about myself...because I followed the rules.
You could use one button, one ribbon and one bloom and a sentiment.
Here is what I came up with
I used Graphic 45 pp...some green "leaf" ribbon and a plain white bloom...that I distressed with Ranger's Vintage photo and then spritzed with Ranger's Perfect Pearls mist in Perfect Copper.  I found the perfect pink antique button for the flower center.
I was too lazy to find a stamp....so I just came up with the sentiment...and wrote it by hand.  It "Simply" states
"You are the Everlasting Bloom...that fills my heart with Love."
I gave it to my DH (just now..and then took it back..for a photo).
I had some other really good ideas...but wasn't sure of the spelling...and just didn't feel like getting up and turning on the computer....although I am doing that now..LOL.

Thanks for visiting!
Hope this inspires you to create something Simple

What I WANT to do VS...what I HAVE to do....what a bummer.

Okay...so my house is a disaster...and laundry is everywhere...not to mention this is what my scrap area looks like at the moment..
What a disaster...of course...I work best in a disaster.  Maybe I should re-think that.  I don't know how I would work if I could actually find stuff I wanted ...and it wasn't under some other stuff.  Someone needs to come and help me clean....or should I say organize.  I think I am
going to spend some time today...organizing.  I also have my Swirlydoos Christmas cards I need to make....only 16...but I still need to get them done.  One of my boys stayed home from school today....not feeling well...which means no going to the store...hmmm.  I also have some of my Christmas trees sitting in the foyer...just waiting to be decorated.  Yet...I am sitting here at my computer...you can see it up there to the right...lol...looking at the Swirlydoos...December Sketch challenge.  I really need to do the elliptical trainer too...but I am just not feeling it at the moment.  You know when I will feel it?  The next two days...when I am working my 13 hour shifts...lol.  Why is that?  When at work...you think of all the things you need to get done...then when you are at home...you just can't find it in you to do anything...although...I did get a card done this morning for the 365 cards sketch.  Okay...so I am off now...to try and be productive in something like cleaning.
Hugs!

365 Cards Sunday Sketch : Day 273

Here is the Sketch provided by
I am not sure if the little lines (on the orange diamond) represent stitching? That is the great thing about sketches.. because..you can interpret it...as you like.
Here is my take on the sketch below.
I have today off work...and so many things to do.
So no fancy...lots of stuff....just quick and to the sketch.  Actually..once I got going...I had to add a little...so it is not as plain as I thought it would be.
I started out with plain pink light weight cardstock.  Made a design to follow the sketch in my Robo Master program...and used my Silhouette SD to cut it out.
I started out with the diamond shapes.. some swirls and welded them together in my Robo Master program.  Then I just layered them all together.  Here is what it started out looking like.
I used stazon ink in black to stamp on the images...and I inked all papers with Ranger's distress inks in Worn Lipstick and Vintage photo.  I also used Ranger's Distress Stickles in Dried Marigold.
The rose is one of the images that I painted in GIMP (free online program).  You can see the layers of diamond shapes here.  Of course one of the challenges at 365 cards
is called:  Floral Fantasy.  Where you are to use at least 10 flowers and use them 3 different ways...So I have a Die cut, Stamp, and gems.  Although...this is just for the sketch challenge.
Of course...the final touch is below
Just wouldn't be complete with out my own hidden tag..lol
Here the tag is flipped..showing the 10th flower
Front of tag
Back of tag...using another image that I created in GIMP..and used my Silhouette SD to find the outline...print..and cut!
