Hello Friends!!
It is my turn to host a challenge at
I chose to do a Recipe Challenge, here it is below. I am calling it
Swirly Concoction :-)
I created this digi image using Graphic Fairy and Gecko Galz images. Should be a fun Challenge.
I was inspired by the mini domino albums out on the web. I thought I would create something similar. This is also my DT project for
Here is the cover... I used papers from some of my Swirlydoos stash, and some Dusty Attic Chippies.
Here is how it started out. I created a cover and a rose out of air dry clay (Shawn: AKA: Micupoftea has been using clay lately and she inspired me to get my clay out and play).
Not sure why I did this detail..since I knew I would end up covering it up...LOL. But I base coated it with Delta Maplesugartan, and painted some leaves on it and then spritzed it with Butterscotch mist by Ranger.
Here are some close ups of my painting on the Dusty attic key..and the rose.
I used Glossy accents after painting the key..and applied one of the flowers from a bling swirl from one of my swirlydoo kits.
Here are some photos of the inside.
It ties shut on both sides, and opens like an accordion.
I used my favorite Vintage frame image from
Gecko Galz. Here are some close ups.
All the embellies came from my Swirlydoos stash.
I used my Silhouette Studio program to create all the name and frames...with the print and cut feature.
You will see our newest member to the Family...
Frankie..AKA...Mr. Kittens.
He is a kitty we rescued..from our own yard. His Mommy is a stray..that everyone feeds..and poor Frankie had been attacked by another animal. So he was not in good shape.
He is pistol now!! Only lost half his tail.
As an added bonus...anyone that participates in my
Swirlydoos Challenge will get to have these:
This is a badge for their blog...just for playing. I used Graphic Fairy and Gecko Galz images for this beauty. I also thought it would be fun to have some BLING...Swirlygirls LOVE BlING!!
so they will get this too...to use as a siggy..or blinkie on their blogs.
If you would like a chance to win a blinkie specifically for your blog, (designed by me), and a chance to win a year of free Ephemera Sets from Gecko Galz...check out this
