Gecko Galz Spring Fling

Hello Friends!!
Happy Sunday!!
Today I would like to share with you my
This month each of the designers has designed a Spring themed project that will be shared with you on their blogs and at Gecko Galz.
I started out with a 5 by 7 inch ivory card base.  I used GIMP to resize the post card, to flip the little boy on bunny image, and to select just the egg shape from the next postcard (to create the tag).  Next I printed out one sheet of the "Bloom" digital paper,  and the other images as well.  I cut a 4.75 by 6.75 inch piece from the "Bloom" paper.  I then cut out the rest of my images.  I cut out out around the egg (for the tag), leaving a little extra paper around it.  I then glued the egg onto the left over "Bloom" paper with a glue stick (so the backside of the egg is the plaid paper).  I then cut around the egg shape precisely.  Next I inked the card base and all my images with Ranger's Old Paper distress ink.  I used a glue stick, and glued the "Bloom" paper piece centrally on my card base.  I used pop dots across the bottom of my Easter postcard, and up the sides being cautious to allow room for the Easter Egg tag.  Using my crop o dile, I punched a small hole in the upper left of my postcard and used some cotton candy baker's twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon to create a cute little bow.  I glued it in place. The postcard works as a pocket, and I placed it to the right of my card (please refer to photo for placement).  I added some grape shimmer satin ribbon to the bloom paper (so it peeks out on the left and right when covered by the post card).  I tucked in a few scraps of punched pieces of ivory paper (upper left and mid right).  I placed my post card on, then added the Juliet Lace (RRR) across the base of it as well as the Moss green leaves (RRR).  I then placed the moss green leaves on the card to the left and upper right.  Next I added some pop dots to the back of the little boy and bunny circle that I created (you can recreate this by shrinking the image, then printing it on the plaid paper, and then cutting out a circle, I used gimp to create a shaped piece..but you will get a close enough look by cutting out a circle).  I then placed it in the lower left corner of my post card.  I tied a bow with the candy cane baker's twine (RRR) with a button (RRR) and glued it on top of my leaves in the upper right.  I used some pink leaves and another button, on the Easter Egg tag.  I also used GIMP to add the "Happy Easter" text to the image.  I again used my crop o dile to punch a whole, and then tied it with some aqua organza ribbon (RRR).
I hope you enjoy my "Spring Easter Card,"  Please check out the Gecko Galz Website to see the rest of the Design Teams Spring Fling Projects through out the month!
