So I am new to this blogging thing...and I will have to say I am finding all kinds of KEWL blogs! So I came across this blog a couple of days ago...and found this cute sketch. I really appreciate these sketches....because I can just focus on designing. Here is the sketch below;

So check back in a couple hours (hopefully)...and I should have my take posted here.
Hugs!
Okay....I finished my design...and I am quite Happy with it! I used images that I created in Gimp and pretty much designed my card to "fit" this sketch. Definitely fun!
Here is my Take below
I just LOVE it!
Below you will see my progress with this card. Let me start off by saying that the snowflake shape and Scallop circle I bought the files from the Silhouette Store. Of course they were plain...as you will see below.
I used the Christmas Die Cuts that I created in Gimp...you can find the post for them here:Christmas Die Cuts
I used my Robo Master Program to place my die cut images inside of the scallop oval, and to make the Merry Christmas holly tag at the bottom. All the other images too were created using the "Print and Cut feature" of the Silhouette SD. The piece of snowflake paper is by Basic Grey.
Here is how every thing looks inked and stamped below.
It is starting to have that Vintage Chic feel that I love. I have started to put the layers together below.
Just FYI...I did stamp and ink the front and backs of the snowflakes with Ranger's Vintage Photo. The Scallop Oval was stamped (using my "fav" background stamp I carved) with Ranger's Peeled paint..I used this to ink the edges too. Next I started to glue the small holly to the oval scallop...see below.
Too much fun! I forgot to mention that I did distress the edges of the basic grey paper with my exacto blade...and re-inked the edges with Ranger's Vintage Photo. You can see below how I started to fold the snowflake points up...to add dimension to the card.
All I need to do now is add the other snowflake ...which I folded the points up on too.
Below I added the second snowflake ...and set if off ...so that the points don't overlap the first set. Then I pasted the tiny scallop circle in the center.
Hugs!

All that is needed is the Peppermint candy in the middle...which I used a pop-dot with...so it would pop off the page. I also put on the finishing touches...the little candy canes!
I am super happy with my vintage style Christmas Card that I created using the Lil Sassy sketch....so Thanks to them!
I hope this inspires you to let your creativity come out and play!
