What a LOVELY Citrus Mix!! Did I mention that ORANGE is my fav color at the moment??
When I saw this month's assortment, I knew it would go fabulous with this month's set of Ephemera at Gecko Galz! I decided I wanted to make a bookmark for a gift with some sweet packaging!
Here is my Bookmark Gift Bag combo.
I used GIMP to create the "Summer Fun" text boxes. The Seashore beauties image is from Gecko Galz.
Here is a close up of the front image, and the fabby orange and white baker's twine, and orange button from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I inked all my edges with Ranger's Marmalade and Vintage Photo distress inks.
Above you will see that I used most of the ribbons from this month's Really Reasonable Ribbon Assortment! The Emily White Crochet lace, Green diamond ribbon, citrus striped ribbon, Green Dots, sheer edge orange ribbon,
Orange Dots I used scor tape and candi fix it foam pads to adhere my layers and ribbons. The fix it foam pads elevate my sweet little image and my text boxes. Below you will see the fabby little bow I made out of the yellow ribbon from this month's assortment.
Here is a look at the bookmark that fits inside the sweet little packaging which I created using two little bitty orange chevron bags (one to hold the bookmark, the other for the base of the bookmark), also from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Again I used the ribbons from this month's Really Reasonable Ribbon kit, and an image from this month's Gecko Galz Ephemera. Here is a close up below.
I just love this month's ribbon assortment, and enjoyed working with it!! Actually...I like all the ribbons and trims at Really Reasonable Ribbon, so don't just get the assortment...lol...treat yourself to more goodies...just tell your spouses etc...that "Heather said it was okay"....I like getting thrown under the bus once in a while...keeps me on my toes!! If they give you a really hard time...then tell them you are getting goodies for your awesome best friend for their bday (as if they will know when that is...lol).
I hope that you have been inspired to create some fabulous projects and do a little shopping and maybe get into a little harmless trouble...and remember you can always join us at the Ribbons Anonymous group...if you get caught...and we will hash out a better plan for next month.
