Hello Friends!!
I hope you are having a FABULOUS day!
Yesterday I went to the Beautiful Wedding of
Crystal and Bradley.
Which means of course, that I woke up at 4am to make a special gift and card of course...because that is how I roll.
Last minute Designer here :0)
Unfortunately I didn't get any photos of the gift (that too is typical of me...but I will try and get it back from Crystal and get some photos of it later). But I did get some photos of my
Fabulous Pop Up Wedding Rose Card!
I am so excited with how it turned out!
One of those...gees...I really want to keep this one...LOL
I wanted to make a Romantic Natural looking card, so of course I used some papers that designed myself using images from
Karen the Graphics fairy.
I had the papers are ready to go when I happen to do a search online...and came across this photo.
I just HAD to have this template...LOL. I LOVE roses!!
I new this would be perfect and Romantic for my Wedding card.
So I purchased the template here from Rich....he designs the pop up cards!!
So I got this late on Friday night...Unfortunately I am not one to CUT THINGS OUT on my own. So I thought I would use the SVG to load into my MTC software and cut it out with my Black Cat Cougar.
So I got up at 4am on Saturday and gave it a go.
I was well rested...and I do my best work early in the morning :0).
So lets look at the rest of my card.
Card Front
There is the Beautiful Wedding Couple
(thank you Crystal for posting you lovely photos on FB so I could download them and use them...lol).
Couple close ups.
I used the 15mm Deep Ivory Mulberry Roses, leaves and Juliet Lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon to give my pop up card that old fashioned vintage look that I love.
I used a darling little clothes pin to add this adorable little rose and love text box to the other side of my card. The rose, leaf and text box are glued to the front of my clothes pin!
I love the antique gold organza ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon, that I used to tie it closed with!
I used a darling little clothes pin to add this adorable little rose and love text box to the other side of my card. The rose, leaf and text box are glued to the front of my clothes pin!
Lets take a peek at how my card came together....
Noticed how I used that sweet little clothes pin to hold my card shut while I was working on the outside. The Music Paper is one that I altered from the Graphics Fairy, I put it together digitally in a "Patchwork" pattern...thank you to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge (too bad I don't have the photo of the gift...because it was all patchwork...lol).
Another image I used from the Graphics Fairy was this twig page. I did alter it a little, I wanted to use it, because Crystal had acorns and leaves as part of her Wedding Decor. So this was perfect in my mind!
I curled the edges of my rose after I put it together, otherwise it kept falling apart on me...lol. I did ink all of my pieces with Ranger's Vintage Photo distress ink. Here are the pieces for my cover below.
I used my MTC program and the Print and Cut feature to cut it out with my Black Cat Cougar!
Notice the frame around the happy couple...that was is a graphic fairy image too...slightly altered...
I used some Tombow Fix it foam tabs to elevate my focal piece. I tucked my organza under my image, and you can see the dot of glue (designer dries clear...so no worries)..to the left of my image. That and some scor tape on the back of the card will hold this beautiful ribbon in place.
Next I added my text pieces, roses and leaves. The one on the clothes pin, was trimmed down with scissors, it is just like the ones to the left.
I added some more Juliet lace, so it peeks out both sides of my focal image.
Now that my card is looking all vintagey...it just needs that touch of glitter! I had to laugh because when I create things, I usually run to the basement and interrupt my DH while he is in a Dungeon or something while playing World of Warcraft. He does his "Oohh and AhhhS...and I mention ...got to add some glitter...LOL. He just smiles...and goes...not too much...LOL..don't want to over do it. I just want to say our house if COVERED in glitter! While we were sitting at the reception, I looked over at my DH ...and noticed...he was SPARKLING...with just a few bits of Lion's Mane glitter...it was just perfect in the lighting!
Here is a look at the inside, I applied some Art Glitter Designer dries clear Glue with my Ultra fine Metal Tip to the rose petals, then covered them with my FAVORITE.. #196 Lion's Mane Glitter!!
I went ahead and added some glitter to the leaves as well. I used my new
BOW IT ALL tool from Really Reasonable Ribbon to create my sweet little bow below!! You can watch Bonnie's Bow it all Tutorials on Youtube to create this kind of bow.
