Vintage Christmas Mitten Filled with Goodies Oranment

Hello Friends!!
Happy Wednesday!

I hope everyone had a Spooktacular Halloween!
Now it is November...and I just realized I need to change my blog background....lol
It is the First and that means it is time for a new challenge at
Really Reasonable Ribbon!
Our challenge for you this time is

Here is my inspiration piece!  I had so much fun designing it!
I used my Black Cat Cougar to cut out all my diecuts!

I used some images from Karen the Graphics Fairy to create a collage sheet.
You can purchase it here in my Etsy.
I also used lots of fun ribbons and trims and embellishments from Really Reasonable Ribbon to make my ornament super adorable!
At the top of my mitten I started out with  some Sophia Natural crochet lace, then a layer of red horizontal stripe ribbon, a button from the Vintage Bonanza button assortment and finished it off with the red chevron stripe twill.  My focal piece in the center of the mitten has some of the red chevron stripe twill peeking out the bottom.  I used some Christmas Baker's Twine around my scallop circle, and topped off the piece with a deep ivory mulberry rose and my fav moss green leaves!
I used a the red swirls ribbon to create a bow on my ornament hanger.  More Christmas baker's twine was used to hold my "25" to my candy cane.  I used my Art Glitter Designer dries clear Glue & Ultra fine Metal Tip to apply glue to all of my little bits and bobs.  #160 Rose Gold glitter was added to the edges of my mitten, #324 Country Red was used on the candy canes, red ribbon, tree ornaments, holly berries and red scallops.
Let's take a look at the back...which...could be the front if you liked.
Here I have used the same trims and glitters.  In addition on the back of my little "25" I placed another vintage button tied with Peppermint Baker's twine.  I used scor tape to adhere my ribbons across the top of my mitten, and Tombow Foam tabs (which I believe Bonnie is out of at the moment, so you may not see them in the store, but I am sure she will get more) to elevate my scallop circles.
Close up of the back.
I inked all the edges of my pieces with Ranger's Vintage Photo, and also the red twill chevron stripe that peeks out the bottom.  See those tiny candy canes, they come out :0)...just like the ones on the front...sorry...forgot to mention that...lol.
Now a look at my Candy Cane and Christmas Tree.
Awww...they are soo adorable...LOL.  I just LOVE Christmas...and making ornaments.  If you have been following me for a while, then you know I put up 9 or more Christmas Trees every year.  Fake ones...but they look real pretty..lol.  So I need lots of ornaments!
Here is a look at the back.
I did use the same red chevron trim on my tree and I used #349 Garnet glitter on the candy cane and tree ornies.  I outlined the tree with #295 Ensalada, the star and the tag on the front of my mitten with #196 Lion's Mane, and #300 Camel.
Here is a look at everything together (except I forgot to pull out the two little candy canes from the back).
I hope you enjoyed my
Vintage Christmas Mitten ornament post today!

  10. I absolutely adore this piece! It is a really modern and funky way to give treats! I must try this myself! You have such a great eye for combining patterns and colors, too. You kept it traditional, but with a kick! I enjoyed all the embellishments and the mix of textures you included. Truly a stunner and I'm so glad you shared it with us here at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog!
