So I am off work today...and again..instead of cleaning
or decorating for Christmas I find myself making a card
for the Day 280 Sketch Challenge.
So here is my finished card.
The front is monochromatic...with the
butterflies as the punch of color. I used a piece of patterned paper by
Recollections "Old Christmas Papers Collection" ..which I bought at Michaels.
I used my Silhouette SD to create the card to follow the
Original Sketch by Pam....it is below.
I saw a "Pocket with Tag" as soon as I saw this sketch!
Here are some close ups below
The butterfly images: I purchased the die cut from the Silhouette SD store...and I painted the outlines...with images that I have painted...wow..lot of words. I used a free online editing program called GIMP.
Below you can see the tag part way out of the card.
Some more photos below
The tag was created by using my Silhouette SD's print and cut feature...which I again used Images that I have painted. Below are the back of the tag and card. I figured...I could add a photo to the tag or another die cut. I have not decided which yet...lol
At the top of the tag...and on the side of the card pocket...I used my Cropodile to punch holes...and set grommets.
Here is a close up of the bottom of the tag too.
I do have some photos of this "In the making" and will post them when I have more time. Thanks for visiting, and hope this inspires you to be creative today!
Hugs!
