Spring "Pure Contentment" Easel Card

Thank goodness is it Spring!  Last night I actually heard the "Sping Peepers."  I love working in my garden and seeing all my Daffodils and Tulips start to burst free of the ground!  This card I designed for   Starr's Card Challenge over at Bella Creation.  I of course titled it after the challenge over at 365 Cards.  It was greatly inspired in part by the challenge over at Paper Sundaes Challenge #63 Spring Blossoms.    I just recently found some more fun Challenge sites:  The Shabby Tea RoomThe Pink ElephantabcdtchallengeFlourishes and Ooh La La creations ( kind of like our Bella group).  I entered this card in their challenges too.  Super fun! I started off with some Awesome images from  Karen the Graphics Fairy.
Here are the images I started out with.
I just cropped out the goldfinch and flipped him.
My Peeps know I have a thing for Roses  :-)
I spent some time deleting the background and getting rid of the horseshoe shape (since I didn't need that part).
I used my Silhouette SD machine to find the outline of the images...and then printed them on my printer.  I used the images to create a "Shaped" Easel card.  Here is the how the sheet looks prior to my machine cutting it out.
You can see the three "L" shaped black lines.  These are called Registration marks.  The Silhouette SD machine reads these marks, so it knows where to cut out your images.  Smart little toy!
Here are the pieces after I pulled them off the mat.  I made the Easel card base like I normally do..you can see this How to post.  I did use my Silhouette to cut out the shaped blue piece.  Here is the finished card below (closed).
Woo Hoo!  That says SPRING!  Welcome Spring to be exact!  How fun!  Below is a photo of the card in the Easel position.
All kinds of Springy goodness going on in this card!
Lets start with the inking of the edges with Tumbled Glass.  I used Versa Magic Perfect Plumeria Chalk ink to stamp on my flower background stamp, that I carved.  I inked the rest of the pieces with vintage photo by Ranger.
I used an antique button, because that is one of my favorite things to use...along with the gold beading wire.  I used the glass seed beads to create my own flourishes....as that was a challenge (create your own flourish).  I used Art Glitter Glue which is the best!  It holds super well, and dries pretty quick!  I used it to apply glitter to all the roses and leaves.  The Glitters I used are ultra fine by both Art Glitter and Martha Stewart.  I used Yellow on the two pieces of Dusty Attic (upper right, and the word "delicate."
I used Perfect medium with UTEE on the Goldfinch, "Welcome Spring" and Easter Rabbit.  BTW..the Easter Bunny image I created from some images from the Graphic Fairy and Gecko Galz.  Here is the original.

He is removable.  I did flip the image, and paste it to the back, so he is double sided, and can be used as a book mark.  The leaves and light turquoise rose are by Prima.  Here is a photo with the Bunny removed.
Thanks so much for your visit!
Hugs!
