Hello Friends!!
Happy Saturday!!
It is week 44 at Sugar Creek Hollow, and this week we would like you to use the theme of "Winter White," in your vintage or shabby chic style card. Everything needs to be white, with only the focal image having some color.
This was a hard one for me....I am not a use White kind of gal...LOL...it is always OFF white..or Ivory...LOL. But It is great to challenge yourself, and I am quite happy with my
"white" card below.
Lets all have a take a moment to have a little laugh at my expense...see the Letter "O", it is upside down. I thought about making up some cute story about how it was special to have the "o" upside down on my card....but then thought....Nah....I just really need to get new glasses...LOL. That or actually have a light on when I am crafting. I might have to change my name to something close to Helene's (2amscrapper)...maybe Midnight scrapper or down to the wire last minute scrapper...lol.
Things have been even busier for me this past week than at Christmas....and I will share all that with you on another day.
The Love letters and heart image are new digital stamps from Gecko Galz. Part of the Heart and Soul set. I did use an embossing folder, and it is light blue in color, with no name on it of who it is from...LOL. I also used a doily that I cut in half, you can see it peeking out the top there. I also have some fabby white flatback pearls from my stash, vintage buttons, and some White May art leaves from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I have some White pom pom trim, rick rack, double ruffle ribbon, and white lace also from RRR. The white leaves are from Iamroses.
I also used two Tim Holtz dies, gate fence type, they are covered with flowers and pearls...LOL...so you can't tell what they are. Here you get a great shot of the Gecko Galz heart digi stamp.
Above is a close up of the ribbon and lace layer.
So get all your white goodies out and start creating!!
I can't wait to see what you link up with us at
Sugar Creek Hollow!!
Hugs
Thank you for visiting!!

Like you, I'm not much of a "white" person, but this is jaw-droppingly GORGEOUS. Like a white wedding cake - full of texture and beautiful shapes. You make white look FABULOUS.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is a stunning card Heather! All the layers and embellieshments are so, so beautiful. Forget about the letter, every handmade item must have a flaw otherwise it isn't handmade :-D
