Sassy Cowgirl Journal

Hello Friends!
Today I thought I would play at
and
I am just in time to play along with their last week of
"Wild West Month"
I thought how Awesome...because I have a fabby image I played with from Gecko Gals!
I used one of the western cowgirl images.
I am going diagonal with : Buttons, Lace and Sentiment
(for Simon Says Stamp).

Here is my image with changes I made to it below.
Please check out Gecko Galz to see the original image.
I decided to create an altered journal with her.
Here it is below.
I inked the craft paper journal with Ranger's Distress inks in Vintage photo and Faded Jeans.  I also distressed the pp with Vintage photo after running it through the Distrez tool.  I used the stamps I carved to stamp faded jeans onto the pp and I used vintage photo to do two areas with masking (timmy mask).
I took an old pair of my kids jeans and ripped off some...LOL.
I stamped on it with the stamps I made with Walnut Distress Ink.
The colors are DUST, RUST and DENIM!  I had a lot of vintage buttons that fit into that color range!  Gems too!
Close up of my sentiment...and detail...couple petaloo flowers and Timmy pin with color coordinating beads.  Buttons too!  Some lace tucked in here and there.  I glued a small rose to big blue button..to give it more depth..and character.  I just LOVE it!
Here you can see some of the stamps I carved and stamped on my journal as well the masking to the left.   I just love how my gem and button clusters turned out!
I folded the jeans over in a couple spots!  At first I had the jeans looped at the right..so a pencil could be held..but decided I didn't like it...and added the big flower and button cluster.
Have an Awesomesauce Day!

I have found a new place to link up...lots of inspiration there...so check them out!!!  passionatelyartistic!!
