Swirlydoo's "Do it Yourself" Challenge

If you would like to see some photos of the steps before this...please see this post.  It shows the paper and stamping..before it is all distressed..etc.

After I got my kids on the bus this morning I went right to work creating the LO I started last evening!  It has been a long time since I have been this "Inspired' to finish a project!
This was Great Fun!
I used my Silhouette SD to print and cut my photo, and both the scallop circle and black circle.  I stamped and inked the scallop with one of the stamps I created...just like the rest of the papers.
I used gold Christmas Picks that I purchased last week at JoAnns, and the gold pip vine.  I used my hot glue gun to attach all these embellies to my page.  I really love how thins is turning out!
Here is a close up of my Rose die cut that I created.  I used Ranger distress stickles in Shabby shutters and Dried Marigold on the die cut.  So now it is all Sparkly...and Glittery!
This is a close up of one of the many antique buttons I have.  I simply took apart the pip berry cluster and ran the brown covered wire through the button holes.  Then I curled them...I just love the added texture to the page these elements add!
This is the Finished project...unless I find something more to add...lol.  Scrapbook page designing is a lot like painting for me...I never know when to stop with the details!  I am really glad I did this page, I think it ill inspire me to make some more!

My friends that know me...would say this is "Very Heathery"

Happy Day for Me!

Today when I got home from work....My new
Teresa Collins Stamp Maker Machine
was sitting next to my Scrapbook Mess!
I will open it tomorrow.  Hopefully I can get some
doodling in this weekend so I can create some
stamps next week!
Life is Great!

Trying Something New

Tonight I thought I would try something new.
So When I got home from work at 9pm, I decided to get busy!
I cut a piece of plain beige cardstock down
to an 8.5 X 8.5 inch square.  I then proceeded to use Stazon in Jet black to stamp (one of my stamps I carved) randomly on the edges.  Then I used Ranger's Distress Ink in Vintage Photo to ink the edges.  I did stamp and ink both sides....just in case.
I took a piece of light pink card stock, and cut it to an 8 inch square.  Then I used Ranger's Distress Ink in Old paper to stamp (my fav background stamp I carved) to stamp the whole sheet (front and edges of the back).  Again I distressed the edges and inked them as I mentioned above.  The Circle frame I created in my Robo master Program with my Silhouette SD machine.  It started out as plain white cardstock, which I stamped (same stamp) with Ranger's Peeled paint distress ink.  Inked the edges as before...and the see below for the other side of the scallop circle frame.
I created this circle with images that I painted in GIMP.  I have diecuts that match in my Etsy store.  I arranged them in my GIMP program, sent them to Robomaster....and cut out on my Silhouette SD. (I love that machine).
Here is a close up of the stamping and images that I painted on the circle.  I ended up not caring for the color (monitor is always different than the actual print color).  I may end up using the other side.
I will post some more photos tomorrow...I got to get back to working on this!  I just love it!

Just for Fun Vintage look Card front

This was just for fun.  I used my stamps and die cuts that I created.
I started out with a 4.25" X 5.5" plain ivory card.  I used one of my stamps to stamp around the edges in Stazon Jet black ink.  Then I inked the edges in Ranger's Vintage Photo distress ink.  This is the process that I used on all pieces.  I just wrote out the word "Faith"  on a scrap of pink card stock with a Creative Memories Bold tip marker.
This is a close up of the Embossing that I did in the corners.  I used perfect pearls on the rose die cut.
This is a close up of the embossing of the leave and flower stamp about the "Faith" lettering.
Another 3 1/2" X 3 1/2" card that I cut from a bigger card (I just cut the bigger card in half and was able to get two smaller cards out of it). In this card I used some new stamps that I recently carved out of Speedball's Speedy Carve.
I used some of my Rose Corner stamps to stamp the corners of the card with Stazon Jet Black.  I also did two leaves in the opposite corners.  I used one of my background images to stamp both sides of a  3" X 3" pink card stock square.  I stamped the bird and bird onto an ivory oval.  All edges were inked with Ranger's distress inks in vintage photo.  I adhered the oval to the pink square (the square set on point). I then clipped the square right up to the edged of the ivory oval.  Then I curled the edges.
After i curled the edges, I adhered the piece to the center of the card.  I added the tiny pink flowers (I used vintage photo on them) with gem stones to the card.

Vintage Chic cards created with My stamps

Here are a few more cards that I created using some of the stamps I carved out of Speedball Speedy Carve.
I cut a larger card down to 3 1/2" X 3 1/2"
I used Stazon Jet black ink to randomly stamp one of my background stamps onto the edges, I did the same thing with the pink oval (after checking placement of the rose die cut).  I then inked the edges with Ranger distress ink in Vintage Photo.  A small flower was added to the top of the oval, and gems at the bottom (and flower center).
I added one of the Rose die cuts that I created in GIMP, and uploaded to my Robomaster Program and cut out with my Silhouette SD machine.  Ranger distress stickles in peeled paint and tea dye were added to the rose.

Vintage Cottage Chic Stamped Card #2

I used the same inks as in the last post, and the same color papers as in the last post to create this card.  It too started out as a bigger card and was cut down to
 4.25" X 5.5"
This one is pretty simple.  Just stamped outer edge of card with my background stamp I carved.  Then I used another "Corner Rose" stamp that I carved to stamp the corners of the pink paper.  The oval in the center was one stamp of the background stamp.  I then used one of the Rose die cuts that I created in GIMP and used my Silhouette SD machine to cut out.  Love ...was hand written, cut, inked and adhered to card.  The oval with Rose was placed on with pop dots.
You will notice in this photo that I curled the edges of the pink cardstock.  I did stamp and ink both sides of the pink cardstock..so when it was curled...it would be more interesting to look at.  Ranger's Distress Stickles in Tea Dye were applied to the corners.

Vintage Cottage Chic Stamped Cards

Today I decided to make some cards using the stamps that I have carved ( Speedball speedy carve or cut).  Sometimes this material is referred to as "Pink stuff".
I started out with a larger ivory colored card and cut it down to
4.25" X5.5"
I then cut a plain piece of light pink cardstock (light weight).  Next I stamped the edges of the pink paper and the ivory card with one of the background stamps I carved with "Stazon Jet Black" ink.  Of course I went on to ink edges of all pieces with Ranger's vintage photo distress inks.
I just wrote the sentiment by hand using a Creative Memories bold tip black marker.  I cut out the words, and inked the edges.  The oval shape I cut with my Silhouette SD, and stamped one of my Roses onto it.  I tried to keep this simple...and not too long to make. I added a plain beige ribbon...that I distressed with the ink first.

Cutesy Halloween Paperbag Mini Album

Here is another Halloween Paper bag Mini album that I created.  I decided to be more "Cute" in my die cuts.
This mini album like the others has a small pocket on the front cover, back cover and in the middle of the book.  These are great spots to add a little Halloween Ornie.
The binding was embossed using the Sissix big shot Expression machine.  Then I lightly applied gold ink over the raised polkadots.
I made up all the little cute Halloween sayings myself.
This is the back cover with both the front and back cover ornies showing.  I just love the little pom pom  trim that I have lining the pockets.
When it is opened up, this is what the view inside.  Designed all the little Halloween figures in GIMP, and then imported them to my Silhouette SD where I was able to incorporate them into tags etc, and have them cut out.
This little spider will keep your photo safe.  Photos will slide right under the spider....he is on with Pop dots.
Another photo will slide in under my little cute Halloween Girl.  I just love her Red boots..and black cape...and her white with black polka dot skirt.
Three tags come in this album.  One side has lines for journaling, and the other side is a photo mat.
Here are the tags flipped over.
Here you see the two ornies from the front and back cover.  There is also a tiny card which fits in the center little pocket.  It opens up to hole to little photos.  The larger card fits in one of the bags.  It too opens to hold photos...and the back has lines for journaling.
Here is the flip sides.
Here are what the two look like opened up.  I can't wait to see it with photos in it!

Halloween Pre made Mini Scrapbook Album

This was my first "shaped" mini album that I created using my own images (created in GIMP).  Then imported to my Silhouette SD program to design the pages.  On the cover I used patterned paper, and the three die cuts I created.  All images were stamped and inked using Stazon and Ranger distress inks.  I also embossed the cover and many of the pages with a glittery clear embossing powder.  Unfortunately the "glittery glitz" doesn't show up that well in the photos.

Inside cover and first page.  What I love about this page is that the photo will slide right under both of the ghost's hands.  Ranger ink, and embossing powders were used on this photo mat.  The next page was my first clear Acrylic page.  The adhesive ended up not keeping this page together, so I ended up adding more eyelets to make sure that the pocket remained intact.  I created the tag to look like a tombstone with a Bat on top.  One side is a photo mat, and the other is a journaling tag.  I love this page too.
Close ups of the first page
Close up of the second page
I just love this pumpkin page!  This was a vintage pumpkin image I found online that I did a little tweaking to.  I added shading and highlighting to eyes, nose and mouth...and added the bottom tooth.  I have used this image in a lot of my collages...and little Halloween ornies.  This page is mainly just for decoration....(-:
I just love the colors in these two pages.  The light blue is a great photo mat for a picture.  The moon and clouds are on pop dots...so a photo will slide right under the cloud.  I can't wait to see what it looks like with photos in it.    The cat page was a lot of fun.  I created a brick wall in my Robomaster Silhouette program and used it as  a pocket on this page.  The background green paper was actually started out as white American crafts card stock.  I created the paper in GIMP....green...with different shades of green cat silhouettes.  You can't make it out in the photos...but it is really neat looking up close.  Behind the brick wall is a "Full Moon" journal tag and photo mat.
This is the back of the cat page, and in this pocket I made 2 orange Halloween tags...each one has a photo mat on one side and journal spot on the other.  The next page is a Full Moon page...you can see all the stamping etc.  The Moon flips open to reveal another photo mat and journal spot.  The blue background again started out at white card stock.  The blue paper has bat silhouettes on it...it too looks really cool up close.  All these pages are very glittery.  The pictures definitely don't do it justice.
The back of the moon page has a tiny card on it...which opens to reveal a journal spot and photo mat.  There is also another couple of orange Halloween tags tucked behind the green paper.  They too have  sports for photos and journaling.  The next page is a photo mat, where the picture will slide right under the ghost (he is on with pop dots).
This was originally the last page...that had a journal spot moon.  I ended up adding another page like the back of the front cover...so it was a ghost holding a photo mat.  I forget to get a picture of that...lol.
Here is the inside of that little card...and one of the journal tags.
This is the moon page...and the tags that were behind the cat page brick wall pocket.
Sold
I was showing it to one of my scrapbook friends, when another of my friends came up to us...and she wanted it...lol...I told her it was listed on Etsy and eBay...but she didn't want to deal with that...lol..she is not an online shopper.  She paid cash....(-:  i still have it listed on Etsy, because I can duplicate it if someone wanted.
There is a lot of detail...that is hard to see in the photos.

Primitive Vintage Look Halloween Paperbag Mini Album

My favorite Primitive Vintage look Halloween Mini album.
I created this album using tiny black lunch bags (with adhesive tape).  I added patterned paper, stamped and inked the edges of all die cuts and pages.  The owl image I bought from the Silhouette SD online store (it was just a shape, and I painted it in Gimp).

The owl has a hanger made out of wire and will look great hanging on a Halloween Tree (I guess it will look good on Paula's tree...she owns this little treasure now).
The inside has a tiny pocket that holds two more Prim Halloween ornies that I created and added wire hangers for.  There are two photo mats available here.
View from the other side.
Close up of the 4 Halloween ornies in this paperbag mini album.
Here are the journal tags that slip into the 4 paper bags.  All the images I created using Gimp and then using my Silhouette SD machine.
The flip side of the journal tags are photo mats.  Each die cut is place on using pop dots so that the photos will slide under the die cuts.
This item was my first item that sold on Etsy.

Cottage Vintage Chic Collage

This is the First collage that I did using one of my own images that I created in GIMP.  I also created the tiny "love" tag.  This collage was created on a 4 X 4 gallery wrapped canvas.  I used some fibers on this along with glossy accents by Ranger.
