Celebrating New Year's Eve

Hello Friends!!
Happy New Year's Eve!!

First off...I must mention that Son #1 is turning 16 today!  Happy Birthday Sweetie!!

I just love this time of year, I love to look back at what I have accomplished, see how I have evolved in my "Artistic Adventures".
Today I will take a moment to sit down and have a cup of my new blueberry coffee (made by Dunkin Donuts) and look back at all of my Artistic creations for the year.  I will also be thinking of new things to do in the New Year!

My First New Thing!!

I am SUPER Excited to Share
"My Artistic Adventures Challeges"
That's right...lol...I have decided to host a Challenge here on my Blog every
2nd and 16th of the month using my
Digital Collage Sheets.
You will want to check out the RULES page here.
(I am sure the rules may evolve over time...but I will let you know).
I have mentioned this idea to my friends over the last year, and some of my  friends ....lets just say they seemed just as EXCITED as I was!!
So I would like to introduce you to some of my friends who
will be helping me out with my Challenges....inspiring all of us with their art work using my collage sheets!

They have all encouraged me and even inspired some of my collage sheets.  Even though I have never met any of them IRL...I know we would all hit it off perfectly if we met!

There is my Bestest Online Buddie (BOLB)
Carol always always always visits my blog and leaves me encouraging comments....and emails!  One of my New Year's Resolutions is to be more like Carol!
She is my best BOLB!

Next is my "Late Night Scrapping Friend"
AKA...2amScrapper
I so appreciate Helene and her blog, she goes Everywhere in Blogland.  She is always filling me in on new challenge sites, new places to visit..and she is also very encouraging!!  That..and she stays up late...LOL.

A Newer Online Friend
We have not known each other long, but we clicked RIGHT away!!
Shea will leave a lovely comment on my blog and before you know it we will have had a "big ole long conversation" via email...LOL.
I am going to be lucky enough to meet Shea in Feb!!  So excited about that!

A "Youtube" Friend

Anna makes GORGEOUS stuff!!  I met Anna while on the Pro 31 Design Team.  She is SUPER sweet!  She does a lot of swaps...and I love how she shares on Youtube.

My "Mentor Friend"

First just let me say....instead of doing my DT projects the other day.  I was exchaing emails with Sandi...and before you know it...I was running up to our attic on the third floor (I never go up there...lol)...but I had to look for something!!  All because of Sandi!!  Here is what I went to get....project & story coming soon...LOL!
I am pretty sure that Sandi and I are the same person....just in different countries!  So here is what I was inspired to create...from all of our emails back and forth on Sunday...LOL.

A Couple Valentine's Day Collage Sheets

Hello Friends!!
I hope you are enjoying your day!
I think I am getting back into things.  I was still in "Celebrating Christmas Mode till I went back to work on Friday...and Saturday."   Even at work it still felt "Christmasy."  I work in home care as a RN, and have worked with the same patient now for a little over 4 years.  So we talked all things Christmas and I took him shopping so he could buys some goodies with his Christmas monies.  Having 4 days off in a row, well...seemed we had a ton to talk about so my 14 hour days went really quick!  We watched the season finale of Doctor Who..too fun!  So now I feel I can move into Celebrating New Years Eve and a Couple Birthdays ...LOL.
Today I thought I would share with you a couple digital collage sheets that I have done.  I tend to have A.D.D. when it comes to creating.  Start on one sheet...before it is finished move to another.  Kind of like all my other avenues in life...LOL.  So this upcoming year...I am hoping to "Stay Focused"  we shall see how that goes :0)
Here are a couple Valentine's day sheets.
One I did for Gecko Galz you can find the sheet in my Etsy here

New Year's Tussie Mussie Cone Tutorial with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello Friends!!
I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!  Before I forget, you don't want to miss Bonnie's Fabulous
Really Reasonable Ribbon End of Year Sale!
Today I have a Vintage Style Tussie Mussie that I would like to share with you.
I used some fabulous ribbons and trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon to dress it up!
Here is the collage sheet that I created for my cone.  You can find it in my etsy here.
New Year's Eve Tussie Mussie Cone Day tags Digital Collage sheet Printable
You can start out with the Collage Sheet that I designed, or create your own cone.  You will need to cut out your pieces. Using a scor tool line up the point of the tussie mussie with one of the grooves, make sure the dashed lines fall into that groove, and score your Tussie Mussie.  You will need to do this 4 times.  Next you will need to ink the folds and edges with Ranger's Frayed Burlap Distress ink.
Apply your  Art Glitter Designer dries clear Glue with your Ultra fine Metal Tip to the tab, and adhere the flap to the last segment to create your Tussie Mussie.  You will also need to punch holes in the sides and in your focal pieces.
I used a 24 inch piece of the Silky Crush Champagne Ribbon (a new Fav) for my hanger.  I tied a not on either side and left enough of a tail for the pieces to look elegant.
Around the top of my Tussie Mussie, I have a few layers, starting with the Satin Double Ruffle Ivory Ribbon, then my Fav Juliet Lace followed up with a layer of Mini Ivory Pom Poms.  I also embellished the center top with a 20mm Deep Ivory Mulberry Rose and some White Leaves that I inked with Faded Burlap Distress ink.

Layer Three
At the top of my focal I tied a bow with some Antique Gold Organza.
I created my handle with some lovely Silky Crush Champagne Ribbon (a new Fav).  I also created some Tripple bows with my Bow it All and Havana Brown Seam Binding.  I placed one on the left and right sides of my Tussie Mussie.  Then a Double Bow on the front bottom.  Each of the bows were topped off with a 20mm Deep Ivory Mulberry Rose.

Art Glitter Designer dries clear Glue was applied to all the edges of my pieces and rose petals with the Ultra fine Metal Tip and #73 Platinum glitter was applied.
Here is a look at the center
Sorry my printer was acting up so my focal piece has a few lines in it where it printed an off color...and the next photo the lighting is not that great because it is dark out and snowy....just know it is much more beautiful in real life.
I hope you enjoyed my tutorial.  You could fill the tussie mussie with Confetti, or yummy snacks.
Thank you for visiting us at Really Reasonable Ribbon today!!
Hugs!!
